Holytown- We were the first girls 3rd year at OLHS when St Josephs & OLHS boys schools merged together. Still see/speak to friends i made there. We were all in different buildings to begin with before we all eventually moved to Dalziel Drive. Remember many of the teachers of that era.

Glasgow- Attended OLHS from 1973-77. joined the Royal Navy - for 26 years and then returned to the school as a careers advisor between 2003-2009. Met some wonderful mates who remain friends to this day. larkhall- I attended OLHS fromm1958 to 1963. Because I Loved Duane Eddy at that time, I had a nickname of Duane at that time. Rector at that time was Mr Boyle. Remember Carrie Owens,Wullie Reid, Massa,Betty Gibson etc.I worked in Civil Service for 33 years then took early retirement due to 2 heart attacks and a quintuplet by-
pass operation.Have done lot of voluntary since then, played bass guitar with Scottish blues singer and
am also an artist with exhibitions in Stirling,Turnburry, Glasgow etc . Got a South Lanarkshire outstanding community service award for my voluntary work. Also been put forward for a Queens award. I have been a JP, member of Lanarkshire Health Board,chair of south Lanarkshire Health Board,etc etc. Would love to communicate with anyone who used to know me.

Suffolk- I was a pupil at our ladys high 1976 - 1980 not long after leaving moved away down south with my family. I have been away 31 years now, one of my regerets is never bumping into any of my old school friends or attending a school reunion,that would have been fab. If anyone does remember me, i would love to hear from you. I have happy memories of my time at our ladys. In fact, i have just returned from a few days in motherwell with my sister Jacqui who also attanded our ladys. We took our children to see where we grew up / attended school etc............ brought back great memories. x

- Which Patrick Doherty,Motherwells Pat Doherty or another.I went to OLHS from 1955 to 1958,considering it was supposed to be Lanarkshires top Senior Secondary,the standard of teaching went from brilliant to absolute rubbish.Some of the teachers from that era were nothing short of thugs.
That said I met a lot of great lads during my time at the school and considered myself lucky to have been in the same class as Bobby Murdoch,what a footballer.He died far too young.
If anyone from thoes bygone days remembers me dont hesitate to get in touch.

Geelong Australia- In spite of the fact that I didn't make the best use of my time at OLHS it has been my rock I was there from 1949-54 . Then migrated to Australia Many special memories of Paddy Welsh and Killer Dempsey If you crossed them you knew all about it Still in touch with my very good friend Tommy Mc Manus I have a piece of stone from the old Airbles Rd site when it was knocked down as a memento of my time there.
