Hi, the photo of the 1976 school with 2500 pupils is hanging on the wall in Mr Crossan's room. (was there the last time I was in the school anyway)

It's good to know that the 'old' Our Lady's High has not been forgotten.I was there from 1958-1962 and remember the patience of so many teachers.Diamante D-Inverno known as wee dunn.William Reid a teacher who taught Modern Languages through terror, not talent. And my favourite teachers Alec 'Stoat' McGregor,Raymond Lunny,Paddy Welsh-Assistant rector to Alec Boyle but so much better than he was!!
If anyone remember me,please feel free to drop me an e-mail.My very best to all present and past pupils of the school,

Hi, I was at the school from 1976 to 1981. Started out at Airbles building then on to "big" building. Any chance we could see the famous 1977 picture put on the website. It's the one of us all being photographed from the helicopter for the Daily Record. I know it's in the school, seen it on a wall a few years back. Present pupils may not realise it but this school is a fantastic institution and you should be proud to be part of its community. I still have many happy memories of my time there. In fact I see one of my old teachers, Mr Murray of Maths, has just retired, the end of an era, he was a gem.

Hi David, and thanks for the message. I'll keep a look out for the picture you're talking about. It would certainly make an interesting addition to the website.

I was so pleased to read about the pupils visit to Hill House in Helensburgh. Well Done, Ms Steinert for taking them. More Scottish children should be aware of the work of Rennie Mackintosh, I find that some people in Scotland do not appreciate the finer qulaities of his work, his work is so modern and current in todays design world. This experience will stay with the children for life. Hill House got me hooked on Mackintosh 20 years ago and I do not have Scottish roots!

I am sure that this will be nurtured in the years to come and there will be some aspiring artists/designers as a result. I love Scotland, I have just come back today from Inverness! The Highlands is nearly as good as GLASGOW! Everywhere in Scotland is amazing!

Student at OLHS 1961 -66, you know during the Beatles rise to fame, if you can remember the 60's you wern't there. Well I was and I can. Definately cannot remember any girls at my school. Nearest females of our age, Brandon High.
I am looking for my old school pals, Edward Meechan, Thomas Innes or Philip Hardigan. They would be about 58 now. If you know them please put me in touch. Great website

Regards to all at OLHS

Jim (nickname "punch"
p.s I remember Celtic's Lisbon win and the never ending party.

Was at OLHS from '75-'79. Originally in the "all boys" Airbles Road building then moved up to the current school in '75. Would be great to see more pics. Still have lots of great memories. The picture of Mr. Tully and Father Burns (although he has gone through a few promotioms since then) also brought back some memories. Hope all the "old" gang are doing well!

Is there anyway that I could find out about former students or teachers from your school. I believe my father's family name O'Neill (May, Jean, Joesph and Thomas) all attended during the 1940's. Also was there a teacher named O'Neill? If you could help me it would be great. Thank you in advance.
