They say that your School days are the best days of your life! Yep, sounds right to me.....

Mr Duddy, the best English teacher in the world and a great human being to boot!

Mr White- "May the force be with you!"

I left Our Ladys high in 1985 and think of those great days often.....

Went to Our Ladys High from 1961 to 1967. Anyone out there at that time? Who remembers "Soap", the History teacher. What a character. Made History interesting. Mr. White. English teacher. Terrific teacher. "Beatnick" in Maths. Wee Shuggie, P.T. 'Hiriam" He had one heck of a belt. Terrified the life out of us. Geography. What a football team we had in those days. Regards. Andy Lauder

Looking back through this site has brought back the happy memories of OLHS. Attended form 1973-77. Memories of getting 2 of the belt from Jimmy Quinn for being late on a cold frosty morning will never leave me! Mr Burke, Bonnyman, and the other Quinn spring to mind, all characters and good guys in their own way. Babe teachers, only one, Miss Bogan, dream lady and good teacher. You only get one education, grab it with grateful hands. I spend a month of every year in Africa, (Nairobi)instructing kids with no education,, we dont know how lucky we are! 22 years in the RAF, SEEN THE WORLD, all thanks to OLHS.

Hi, I left the old school in 1965 but I still have great memories. Does anybody remember some of the teachers - Hash McCabe (english), Big Hiram (geography), The Skelf (woodwork), Mr. Lunny (latin),Jimmy Kelly (maths), The Wee Barra D'Inverno (french) and some of my classmates - Tommy Devine, Ned Hughes, Nicky (the bear) Welch, Frankie Travers, Jamsie Roan, Barney Goodwin, Dougie Ingils, John McAdam. A few of us used to wear Beatle boots with a high cuban heel, and the noise of the clip clop across the wooden classroom would drive the teachers wild.

Hi,there! I was OLHS French assistant in 1993-1994!!!! I know it's been ages !!! I was just wondering if any of the French teachers I met (and who were particularly nice to me) were still working there? I'm afraid I don't remember their names:there was Ann and John who took me to a rugby match-Scotland vs France(France won ;sorry about that!!!)
I've become a teacher myself -what a surprise!!!- I had the best time ever during that year in Scotland.
I hope to hear from you.
Salut !

Hi,
I am an ex - pupil of OLHS! Left in 2003 - I think! I wish I was back it was such a good school with lots of great people! It was nice to see Mr Knighton again at Cathedral Primary during my final year placement and be back in the school for a short visit with the primary 7's where I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Mrs McKay again! Not much has changed in the old place, it even smells the same!! Hope my sister Melissa isn't causing to much disruption there - just kidding! Look after my wee, wee sister who is coming in August - Mrs McKay I know you will!!!
